Many people just do not realize the potential savings EDM can bring them while prototyping parts. For example, an aluminum extrusion die will run you in the thousands of dollars for just a few feet of product. The same samples with EDM will run only a couple of hundreds, a major savings money wise but also time wise as the turnaround will go from a couple of weeks to a couple of days improving your time to market dramatically.
